One centre, one park, one marina: a destination for the whole community

Project site and development

  • A shared space at the crossroads of culture, nature, and community
  • An accessible, sustainable, future-focused building

Understanding the transformation of the Centennial Park and marina site

In line with the recommendations from the 2019 Reimagining SPACE public consultations, the new Cultural Centre will be located on the eastern portion of the site, on the marina property, to minimize the impact on the natural features of Centennial Park.

A logo worthy of the project

Logo explanation

The Centre Culture Beaconsfield logo is a strong and evocative visual metaphor. It conveys the essence of the Imagine Centennial project: creating lasting links between citizens, generations, knowledge and passions. It evokes a living, open and inspiring place.

The word Centre is emphasized to underline its importance in this first phase of the project. Culture Beaconsfield expresses the vocation of the site, and was chosen for its clarity and accessibility in French and English.

Semi-circles to represent bridges

The semi-circular shapes represent the bridges created by the center, and each color represents a specific facet:

A palette inspired by our municipal identity

The colours of the logo echo those of the City of Beaconsfield logo:

  • blue for the proximity of water and the tranquility of the site
  • green for the natural spaces of Centennial Park
  • orange for community energy

The purple, added to the logo, becomes the visual signature of the center’s culture and project.
It symbolizes creativity, emotion and the richness of human experience offered in this new flagship venue.

A spark in the centre

At the heart of the logo, where the arcs meet, is a spark. It symbolizes everything that emerges from human contact: curiosity, learning, creation and inspiration.

This central point also represents the hall of the future Centre, a luminous space that will link the interior to the surrounding nature, opening onto the park and marina.

This spark is the destination: a lively, accessible place that will become a driving force for visitors and a crossroads for exchanges between generations, residents and their environment.
